Our 'Bags of Goodness' scheme first launched for Christmas in 2020 and we now accept donations to the appeal through our Amazon Wish List 365 days of the year!
When we receive donations from individuals or businesses, we store all the items and when we believe one of our packages can benefit someone or a family, we will get in touch with them and see how we can help them as an individual!
From stationery and books, warm clothes and blankets to foods and luxuries recipients of our packages are supported with the items they may need plus some extra items to brighten their day!
We also support those who go above and beyond simply to help others, we deliver and donate support packages to emergency service workers, emergency volunteers and a range of key workers keeping us going.
Back in December 2020 we delivered a support package to the staff at Polegate School to say one big thank you for their efforts supporting the children of Polegate throughout the national lockdowns. With support of individuals and businesses in Polegate and the surrounding areas we could donate them a few little gifts along with some essentials for them whilst they were working very hard to keep their pupils learning!
As we have previously supported the staff, we have now decided to donate Polegate School and Nursery a ‘Back to School’ package through our ‘Bags of Goodness’ scheme. We are collating stationary items along with colouring sets and books to donate to the children, so every child has the chance to access some bright colourful stationary when they return to school this September.
You can help us bring a smile to everyone at Polegate School by supporting our scheme and making a donation through our Amazon Wish List, this enables you to purchase items from as little as 99p which are then sent to us for us to add them into our package!
We thank all of our continued supporters for your support!
When one person goes hungry, our whole society is weaker. More people than ever are facing extreme poverty. It’s time to work together to build a hunger free future. - The Trussell Trust
Being equipped and ready to learn is the key to success! We support those who may not be able to afford the necessary essentials for school or at home learning!
Supporting those who help us in times of emergency and showing our gratitude is a lovely gesture to those who go above and beyond when we really need them! Especially those who volunteer their time!
Do you know someone who has gone above and beyond for others this year?
We would like to thank them for being amazing!
Are you creative or love making things at home? Maybe you could support our appeal and donate us a gift or two to really make someone smile this Christmas!
Do you know someone who may struggle this Christmas and will really benefit from a few extra gifts this year?
We would like to make them smile this festive season!
We were very pleased to be working in partnership with Polegate Sundowners WI to launch our brand-new venture which brought more joy to others this Christmas for the first year of many!
We have now launched our brand-new community initiative to support the wider community! We did this in December 2020 because as you know 2020 was a struggle for many!
We delivered 20 Christmas Gift Bags to those who may benefit from a few extra gifts. These bags included gifts and treats for all the family as we do hope we brightened their festive season.
We also delivered another 20 of these as a ‘Thank You’ to those who made a difference in our communities. For example, thanking fundraisers who have enabled charities to remain stable and thanking volunteers for their hard work and efforts to assist others in these unprecedented times.
Nominations were sent in from the people of Polegate and many local individuals, groups and businesses supported us by donating food items, gifts and money in which we used to brighten Christmas for many local people.
Through online shopping, local residents and local businesses supported our first ever 'Bags of Goodness' Appeal enabling us to collect deliveries and collate all the donated items which were then placed in seperate 'Bags of Goodness' packages!
